Child Dentistry - Filling the Cavity with a Composite

After the young patient had first been introduced to the laser (part 1) and then in the second session (part 2) the laser had been used to actually clean out a cavity, in this video, Dr. Sarkissian (www.SarkissianDDS.com) reviews with his patient the steps required to fill the cavity and then performs the procedure. The young girl initially wants to get to the treasure box right after the cavity has been cleaned (the treasure box is a box with little toys to rummage after a brave and successful dentistry session) but agreement is quickly reached that first the tooth has to be all finished before the trip to the treasure box can be made. After the successful completion of filling the cavity our young patient is immediately on her way to the treasure chest. Dr. Sarkissian has an unafraid young patient because first of all he keeps her fully informed what will happen next so that uncertainty and unfamiliarity never enters the picture and because he is using the laser to clean out the cavity thus accomplishing a pain-free dental experience. It it comes time to go to the dentist again, this girl will not make any fuzz and the experience will be good for patient, parent and dentist - a win-win situation.
